Steel Detailing

CDE Structures provides a full structural steel detailing service. Our 3D model driven approach allows the production of fast and accurate steel detail drawings taken directly from the 3D model. Additionally, the use of a 3D model has many other advantages over traditional 2D layouts. The model can be used to layout services, machinery and platforms in factory buildings, and can be used to generate 3D marking plans and layouts which greatly aid the erection process in complicated structures.

Our experience in this area allows the production of a standardised set of real-world workshop drawings, including cutting lists, individual cleat sheets, individual drawings of all members, marking plans, bolt take off lists, hold down bolt layout drawings, standardised purlin and girt sheets and bridging sheets.
